Belfast Maskers Stage Original Play with Music to Wrap 25th Anniversary Season

“The Three Wise Men of Spider Creek” Performs in Searsport and Belfast
Belfast, Maine - Belfast Maskers will present the final production of their 25th Season, “The Three Wise Men of Spider Creek,” an original play with music written by Maine playwrights Aynne Ames and Bundy Boit. This hour-long production focuses on the themes of family, charity, self sufficiency, nature, and faith. It is a feel-good family play in the genre of “Little House on the Prairie” and “The Waltons” and is perfect holiday entertainment for the whole family. The play will engage children as young as five and touch the hearts and stir the memories of adults of all ages.
Performances dates and times are as follows (dates are revised from previous communications):
Searsport, at Union (Town) Hall, Union Street (plenty of seating)
Friday, November 30 at 7 pm
Saturday, December 1 at 7 pm

Belfast, at the First Baptist Church, 95 High Street (limited seating)
Friday, December 7 at 7 pm
Saturday, December 8 at 2 pm and at 7 pm (two performances)



Tickets may be purchased at the door one hour before curtain; at Out of the Woods on lower Main St., Belfast and by calling 338-9668 (with VISA or MasterCard). Tickets for children 12 and under are $5; all others are $10. There will be five performances (only one matinee) so audience members are encouraged to make reservations or purchase tickets in advance. “One doesn’t see theater bargains like this often, but it is the Belfast Maskers’ gift to the communities who have served us so long and well,” said Aynne Ames, Artistic Director and co-writer of “The Three Wise Men of Spider Creek.”

The cast and crew include: Erik Perkins, Katie Glessner, Grace Underhill, Maggie Goscinski, Dorothy Wilson, Dana Wilson, Joe-Pete Saucier, Jakob Sutton, Jason Sutton, Bob Daisey, Patricia Powers, Latricia Saucier and Ivy Lobato. Sets are by Joe-Pete Saucier; Props by Dorothy Wilson; Costumes by Cate Davis and Aynne Ames; Makeup and Hair by Karen Brezsnyak and cast; programs by Erik Perkins; publicity by Erik Perkins and Pica Design; Photography by Erik Perkins. Aynne Ames is stage director and Bundy Boit directs the music.

About the Belfast Maskers
The Belfast Maskers are celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2012. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing quality theater for, and with, the community since 1987. Belfast Maskers offer an internship program that draws young actors from the U.S. and abroad; run a well-attended summer camp for youngsters; and produce a season of theater fare for approximately 3,500 residents and visitors year-round.
