Orono, Maine - The 2012 University of Maine Black Bear Football season kicks off in Orono at 6pm on Saturday. The Black Bears will take on future conference rival, the Albany Great Danes, for a matchup of two strong and experienced teams.You will notice some significant additions to the Game Day experience at Alfond Stadium, such as the new student section located in the grandstand behind the visting team, lots of new concessions options, a live band, and a game area!
Gates will open at 4:00, two hours before kickoff, so fans can enjoy all that the "Black Bear Fanfair" area has to offer.
