LAND TRUST BENEFITS FROM 4th ANNUAL RUN FOR THE HILLS 10K

Belfast, Maine - On September 15, 42 competitive runners gathered in Belfast to take on the challenging but scenic 10K road race; a course that highlights the Land Trust’s Passagassawakeag Greenway and their on-going initiative to create a public trail network along the banks of the Passagassawakeag River. Runners passed the Stover, Head of Tide and Stephenson Preserves before finishing on the scenic Belfast Footbridge.

The race was won by Luis Mauser, 16, of Belfast, who finished with a time of 40:45. The first female finisher, 5th place overall, was Jennifer Quehl, 44, of Searsmont, who finished in 47:15. Results and times for all runners are posted on the Land Trust’s website.
